17 AGAIN movie review

17-again1I guess every movie needs to be seen from the eyes of the movie watcher it is meant for. 17 Again is meant for a younger audience that want magical things to happen to them and are not skeptical. For them, a nerd/dork CAN get with the school head cheerleader. They can believe that a 40-year old man can suddenly get his wish and become 17 again!

In 17 Again, Mike O’Donnell (Matthew Perry) was a high-school basketball player who was popular with the girls and was on the brink of stardom when he threw it all away to marry his girlfriend and raise their child. Twenty years later, Mike’s marriage is on the rocks, his kids don’t respect him, and his job is dull and boring. That’s when he meets the magical old ganitor that transforms his life and makes him 17 again. Of course the 17-year old is played by Zac Efron and he gets a chance to relive his life and realize that instead of crying over his past, he should work towards a brighter future.

I liked to movie because there’s still a 17-year old inside of me but I’d like to warn you to leave your “thinking caps” outside the theater to really enjoy the movie. If you can…then go for it!!
