Last night, my girlfriend and I watched this week’s new release, Eagle Eye. A really fast-paced movie with thrills unlimited. Go and see it, is our recommendation. The action starts at the very beginning and doesn’t end till the very finish. For the few discerning moviegoers, like me, there were a few things that aren’t really convincing enough like the amazing intelligence of a “super-computer” and the speed with which images/sounds are collected, analyzed, dissected, reverted, arranged, and executed into action. I still can’t believe that ‘Big Brother’ can actually keep track of us to this extent. You can call me a sceptic, but I just can’t believe that a computer can actually kill a man by breaking off some electric cables all the way in some deserted location far away from civilization (I’m not revealing anything because this was shown in the previews if you remember!)
Shia LaBeouf (as Jerry Shaw) is excellent in his portrayal of the victim who’s being controlled like a puppet by a woman’s voice on the cell phone alongwith Michelle Monaghan (as Rachel Holloman), who is fairly convincing as a desperate mother willing to do anything to keep her son alive. Control is the keyword here and both Jerry and Rachel are thrown together to figure a way out of this conspiracy that reaches the highest of levels. Billy Bob Thornton plays an FBI agent that is on their trail as the movie races to a climatic ending. Can’t tell you more except the fact the this movie moves like a bullet and you will be surprised by the multitude of ways that someone can be tracked if on the run a la Will Smith in “Enemy of the State”…and that is Eagle Eye for you. Executive Producer is Steven Spielberg and Director is D.J. Caruso (a team that last worked on “disturbia.”)
My girlfriend thought that the end comes too fast and out of the blue but it was okay for me. You should go, watch it and then come back and let me know what you think. But, from my side…..a definite winner!

Signing off……until next time…….Sonny Banks!!

isn’t Eagle Eye the one where Shia LaBeouf becomes Indiana Jones? wait a sec, i’m confused…
Yes! That’s where Shia Lebouf run around like a chicken with its head cut off…while a woman gives him orders on his cell phone! lol.
