THE INTERNATIONAL movie review

The International

The International

The movie is fairly good and watchable. Clive Owen is an Interpol agent who inspite being told that he’s just supposed to ‘report’ on crime, not go after the bad guys, does exactly that. The villian: A Big International Bank who’s buying huge stockpile of arms to supply to feuding countries to create a ‘debt’ in those countries that will then be controlled by it. Aided in New York by Naomi Watts, the government agent, they go from failures to success.

The movie  is not a big action adventure in case you were expecting that but it’s a fairly good thriller with a futuristic plot (maybe even present….who knows if banks are buying arms right now from the President’s bailout money. LOL) Action movie buffs may love the shootout scene at the New York’s Guggenheim Museum, which was  long drawn out and pretty destructive to say the least.

The Bank being the villian it is very difficult to eliminate the threat. Can they actually achieve the impossible? The Bank is capable of anything…including murder!
